Hartnell College – Main Campus
411 Central Ave, Salinas, CA 93901
Eager as we were to join with you next week in presenting the Seventh Annual Salinas Valley Ag Tech Summit, the Western Growers Association and Hartnell College have decided to postpone this year’s dynamic program to a future time, still to be determined.
As all Americans and people around the world face the challenge posed by the coronavirus COVID-19, the safety of the summit’s participants must of course be our highest priority. We will immediately begin consulting on alternative dates when we hopefully will have moved past this immediate public health crisis.
Thank you again, and we will reach out to all of you with more information as we move ahead with our plans.
The 2020 Salinas Valley Ag Tech Summit on March 17-18 at Hartnell College will provide attendees a deep dive into the latest tactics, equipment and thinking to maximize profit and consumer satisfaction in the fresh produce industry.
VIP Reception on March 17 with a St. Patrick's Day theme -- including a "Fireside Chat" panel of Irish ag entrepreneurs.
An all-day program of panels and speakers on March 18 on themes of workforce education, technology and automation, plus an indoor and outdoor Exhibitors Showcase.
On March 18 keynote address from Mark Hanchett , CEO of Atlis Motor Vehicles, aiming to deliver the first battery-electric full-sized pickup truck for the U.S. market.
The 7th Annual event is hosted by the Agricultural Business and Technology Institute at Hartnell College in collaboration with the Monterey Bay Chapter of the CA Association of Pest Control Advisors (CAPCA). Guests will enjoy a wide variety of speakers and panel presentations on the topics of crop protection, the future of farming, automation, harvest technology, innovation, worker safety and regulations. There will be an expanded exhibition, demonstrations and much much more. All proceeds from sponsorships and the exhibition will benefit the Hartnell College Agriculture Business and Technology Institute students.
